We’re now looking for an experienced and commercially minded Vice President Compensation & Benefits to lead and further develop our global Compensation & Benefits function. This is a highly influential role at the center of a global, decentralized and continuously evolving organization, with the opportunity to shape how Compensation & Benefits supports business performance, profitable growth and long-term value creation.
Your mission
You set the strategic direction and lead the development of Compensation & Benefits across Sandvik Group. You ensure that our global reward framework supports the Group’s business strategy and balance clear governance with the needs of our decentralized businesses and local markets.
You act as a trusted advisor to the EVP and Chief HR Officer, senior management, and the Remuneration Committee. You lead the Group Compensation & Benefits team at Group level, including Executive compensation, Pensions and benefits, Global mobility and Global Rewards Operations, data and projects. You also chair Sandvik’s global Compensation & Benefits forum and work closely with the Compensation & Benefits leaders across our four Business Areas and the regional organizations. You’re an engaged peer in Sandvik’s Group HR Management team.
Job responsibilities also include;
Translating business needs into decentralized Compensation & Benefits practices that enable Business Areas and Divisions to succeed.
Designing and implementing Compensation & Benefits procedures and policies with primary focus to support a high-performing organization and contribute to a strong performance culture.
Developing Sandvik’s approach to areas such as pay transparency, equal pay, executive remuneration, pensions and benefits governance, regulatory requirements and data-driven decision-making.
Strengthening the function’s contribution to Sandvik’s growth agenda, by ensuring that Compensation & Benefits expertise is brought into acquisitions, including due diligence and post-merger integration.
Location
The position is based in Stockholm, Sweden and requires travel.
Your profile
You have a successful track record from translating business needs into Compensation & Benefits structures, creating growth and value across a variety of organizations. You have extensive experience within global Compensation & Benefits or Total Rewards, gained in international and complex organizations.
You understand how reward structures influence performance, behavior, cost and value creation, and you are genuinely interested in understanding and supporting Sandvik’s businesses and operations. You enjoy speaking business from an HR and reward perspective.
Your background also includes:
A strong and broad experience in executive compensation, incentive design, remuneration governance and interaction with senior management.
Experience leading global teams and operating through both direct and indirect reporting lines in a decentralized business model.
Relevant experience from business growth, transformation and M&A, including reward-related due diligence and integration.
Strong financial and business acumen, with a genuine interest in investor and shareholder perspectives.
It’s highly meriting with experience from:
International industrial, engineering and/or technology companies.
Direct interaction with Remuneration Committees in a listed environment.
Broader HR Director, financial and/or other leadership positions.
