Engineering collaboration & solution alignment: Partner closely with engineering teams to translate application requirements into robust infrastructure solutions, shifting towards proactive infrastructure design and ownership. Reliability, scalability & performance: Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of infrastructure systems, implementing best practices around redundancy, auto-scaling, and system resilience. Incident management & operational excellence: Oversee incident response processes, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of system reliability and operational performance. Cross-region support & coordination: Support a distributed engineering environment, ensuring infrastructure effectively supports teams across multiple regions, including collaboration with teams in the Netherlands time zone. Vendor & stakeholder management: Manage relationships with infrastructure vendors and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities, delivery, and service quality. Technical leadership & mentorship: Provide hands-on guidance where needed, mentoring engineers and setting technical direction based on prior experience building scalable infrastructure systems.
