Description
At SkyNRG, we're not just building projects, we're building the foundations of a cleaner, more sustainable future for aviation. Since 2009, we have helped drive the adoption of Sustainable Aviation Fuel through sourcing, supply, and project development. Today, as our first production facilities move closer to reality, we are entering a new phase of our journey: becoming an owner and operator of SAF assets.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As VP Operations & Technology, you will help lead that transition. While our Projects team focuses on delivering facilities, you will build the operational capabilities, technical expertise, and organizational foundations required to start, operate, and continuously improve them. Your work will help ensure our first production facilities are prepared for safe and reliable operations from day one.
In this role, you will:
- Build and lead the Operations & Technology function, establishing the capabilities, standards, and culture required to support a growing portfolio of SAF production assets.
- Lead Operational Readiness and startup activities for DSL-01 and future projects, ensuring SkyNRG's first production facility is prepared for safe and reliable operations.
- Build and develop the teams and capabilities required to support SkyNRG's growing portfolio of production assets.
- Provide operational, technical, and process integration expertise to projects across the production lifecycle, including DSL-01, Wigeon, and SkyKraft, throughout their development and execution. Hydroprocessing, Fischer-Tropsch, gasification, and water treatment are among the most critical processes in our portfolio.
- Lead R&D and Innovation activities for SAF technologies, including support for external parties.
- Establish and manage Distribution and Supply Operations (SAF & Feedstock).
- Drive operational excellence through strong safety leadership, performance management, and continuous improvement to deliver safe, reliable, on-spec production in line with shareholder expectations.
- Work closely with project teams, executive leadership, investors, regulators, licensors, and contractors to support SkyNRG's long-term growth.
As our portfolio matures, you will assume accountability for the performance and continuous improvement of SkyNRG's operating assets, helping build the operational foundations for the next stage of our growth.
YOUR PROFILE
As a growing company operating in a rapidly evolving industry, we are looking for someone who thrives in environments where not everything has been built yet and where leadership extends beyond managing existing operations.
You combine deep operational expertise with the ability to build organizations, capabilities, and ways of working from the ground up. You are equally comfortable discussing strategy with executive stakeholders, solving complex operational challenges, and leading teams through periods of growth, change, and uncertainty.
You are pragmatic, hands-on, and naturally balance long-term vision with operational execution. You know how to create alignment across a broad stakeholder landscape while maintaining a clear focus on safety, operational excellence, and business outcomes.
You recognize yourself in the following:
- Extensive leadership experience within large-scale industrial or process industries, ideally involving complex production assets and operational environments.
- A proven track record managing complex operating assets with accountability for safety, people, production, reliability, and performance.
- Significant experience in Operational Readiness, commissioning, startup, and production ramp-up of major industrial facilities.
- Experience building and developing high-performing operational and technical teams through periods of growth and change.
- Experience working across the full lifecycle of major capital projects, from development and design through startup and operation.
- The ability to build trusted relationships a
