Gender: Any Candidate Nationality: Any Job Type: Full-time Role Context The Water Quality Technician supports the safe and efficient operation of pools, water park attractions, water features and related plant systems throughout the resort. The role combines technical water treatment knowledge with maintenance coordination, team supervision, contractor oversight and operational planning. Strong attention to water quality, equipment condition and presentation helps protect guest safety, maintain regulatory compliance and reduce disruption across high-use aquatic environments. Key Responsibilities * Assist with daily coordination of the Water Quality Department and support operational priorities across pools, rides, slides and water features. * Prepare staff rosters, task assignments and work schedules to maintain adequate operational coverage. * Plan cleaning, maintenance and improvement activities while minimizing disruption to guests and resort operations. * Allocate technicians and contractors according to workload, technical requirements and business priorities. * Supervise daily cleaning, inspection and maintenance of swimming pools and water park facilities. * Verify that slides, rides, water features and associated guest areas are safe, clean and ready for operation. * Inspect plant rooms and technical areas for maintenance, safety or housekeeping concerns. * Coordinate routine water quality testing and ensure results remain within required health and operational limits. * Review water quality readings and escalate abnormal results for corrective action. * Support troubleshooting of filtration, circulation and water treatment systems. * Provide practical technical guidance when water quality or operational problems require escalation. * Monitor maintenance activities involving mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. * Supervise Water Quality Technicians, contractors and support personnel during assigned work. * Check completed work for quality, safety and operational effectiveness. * Evaluate contractor workmanship from both technical and commercial perspectives. * Coordinate minor projects and maintenance improvements involving aquatic systems. * Assist with planning shutdowns or maintenance interventions affecting pools and attractions. * Support implementation and improvement of preventive maintenance programs. * Contribute to departmental operating procedures and safe work practices. * Maintain accurate water quality reports, inspection records and maintenance documentation. * Verify that equipment and tools remain maintained, inspected and fit for operational use. * Conduct routine area inspections and ensure identified defects receive timely corrective action. * Confirm that water park facilities are prepared to required standards before the next operating day. * Maintain regular communication with management regarding operational concerns, safety issues and project progress. * Support technical coordination with other Engineering and resort departments where systems interface. * Provide on-the-job coaching and assist with development of Water Quality team members. * Support employee performance reviews and technical competency improvement. * Identify opportunities to improve water treatment efficiency, maintenance effectiveness and operational reliability. * Maintain awareness of business continuity requirements for critical water systems. Ideal Profile * Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or another relevant technical discipline. * Candidates with extensive practical experience may be considered with a minimum of approximately 8 years of relevant work exposure. * Previous experience coordinating and executing minor technical projects. * More than 3 years of experience in water park maintenance, Life Support Systems or water filtration maintenance is highly desirable. * Strong practical capability across mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. * Good understanding of swimming pool systems, water displays and associated non-biological infrastructure. * Familiarity with water treatment instrumentation, including appropriate selection and operating limitations. * Knowledge of FRP, PVC, HDPE and other materials commonly used in aquatic and water treatment environments. * Ability to read and understand P and IDs, Process Flow Diagrams, schematic drawings and single-line diagrams. * Basic understanding of energy consumption and opportunities for system efficiency improvement. * Experience assessing contractor work and identifying quality concerns. * Understanding of control systems is desirable. * Strong organizational and leadership capability. * Fluent written and spoken English. * Certified Pool Operator qualification is desirable, or willingness to obtain certification during the probationary period.
